Natalie Mikki Cook

Winston-Salem- Dr. Natalie Mikki Ludwick Cook, 42, passed away Monday, November 19, 2018 at her home.  She was born July 21, 1976 in Anaheim, CA., the daughter of Russell and Yayoi Yamada Ludwick, III.  She was a graduate of Eldorado Emerson High School, University of California, Irvine with a Bachelor of Science in Biology and Chemistry, UCLA with a Ph.D. in Pharmacology and Duke University with Post-Doctoral work and a career in Toxicology.  Outside of her academic achievements, she was an avid cat lover, enjoyed learning and making crafts including braided jewelry.  Natalie was a genuine, amazing person; who was nice to all and always put others before herself.  She is preceded in death by her paternal grandfather, Russell Ludwick, Jr. and her maternal grandparents, Yakichi and Yoshino Yamada.  Survivors include her husband, Ronald Cook; a daughter, Katelyn Cook of the home; a son Jacob Cook of Philadelphia, PA.; her parents, Russell and Yayoi Ludwick, III of Orange, CA.; her paternal grandmother, Glory Ludwick of Orange, CA.; a sister, Glory Williams (Benton) of Burlingame, CA.; a brother Russell Ludwick IV (Ginger) of Santa Barbara, CA. and many nieces, nephews and friends.  Services will be held at a later date, please contact a family member to attend the service.  Online condolences may be made at www.hayworth-miller.com.  Hayworth-Miller Silas Creek Chapel is assisting the Cook Family.
