Nell Goodson Tesh Kreeger

Mrs. Nell Goodson Tesh Kreeger, 81, left this life to live in peace with her Lord on May 1, 2012 at Wake Forest University Baptist Medical Center. She was born December 17, 1930 in Grayson County, Virginia to Mabel Thompson and John H. Goodson. Mrs. Kreeger graduated from Martin-Memorial School of Nursing in 1951 and was a member of N.C. State Nursing Association District 3. She was a private nurse for several years. She retired from North Carolina Baptist Hospital in 1993 after 25 years of service. Mrs. Kreeger was a member of Konnoak Baptist Church where she served as a deacon. Surviving is her husband, Billy Gray Kreeger of the home; a son, Donald ""Donnie"" B. Tesh, Jr. and wife Sandy of Winston-Salem; a daughter, Lynn Tesh of Atlanta; five grandchildren, Kristin Tesh Flynt and husband Allen, Ashley Tesh Duncan and husband Brandon, John Alexander and wife Jennifer Aranda, Kelly Tesh Alexander and husband Michael Sanderson, Mary Catherine Alexander; two great-grandchildren, John Neil Alexander and Vincent James Alexander; a step-daughter, Sharon Morgan and husband Britt; two step-sons, Billy Kreeger and Todd Kreeger; two sisters, Barbara Sizemore, Jackie Sexton; a brother, James Goodson; many nieces and nephews. A funeral service will be conducted 11:00 AM Thursday May 3, 2012 at Hayworth-Miller Silas Creek Chapel with Rev. Ray Benefield and Rev. John Bishop officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Interment will follow at Parklawn Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Konnoak Baptist Church, 400 McLean Avenue, Winston-Salem, NC 27127 or to Leukemia Research Fund, Hematology and Oncology, Medical Center Blvd., Winston-Salem, NC 27157.
