Nellie Sue Holcomb Collins

Nellie Sue Holcomb Collins, 98, of Rural Hall, passed away peacefully on Wednesday. Don’t grieve, the Four Musketeers (Daddy, Mama, Aunt Lydia & Sara Nance) are reunited & their bags are ready to travel. Nellie Sue was born in Forsyth County to Cletus Holcomb & Pansy Moser Holcomb. She was a graduate of Hanes High School. In addition to her parents, Nellie Sue was preceded in death by her husband, Paul Carlton Collins & sister, Lydia Belle Holcomb Hauser. Nellie Sue is survived by her only son, Philip Kent Collins of Kernersville; Nephews, Michael Hauser (Tammy) of Winston Salem; Mark Hauser of Lewisville.

Per Nellie’s wishes there will be no formal viewing. Graveside services will be conducted at Crestview Memorial Park for the immediate family. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Forsyth Humane Society. I will never be able to thank the angels of Mountain Valley Hospice & the caring staff of Kerner Ridge Assisted Living & Memory Care enough for taking care of Mama in her final days. Online condolences may be made at www.hayworth-miller.com.
