Nita "Sis" Burrow

Mrs. Nita “Sis” Moore Burrow, 86, went home to be with the Lord, March 3, 2019.  She was born June 20, 1932 in Forsyth County to her parents, Herbert Thomas Moore and Della Westmoreland Moore.  “Sis” was a lifetime and faithful member of Jefferson Christian Church.  Her testimony for Christ was displayed with whomever she came into contact.  She retired from Hanes Hosiery with 43 Years of service.  Because of her love for children, she worked as an aid at Rural Hall Elementary School for 11 Years.  When she wasn’t working, many hours were spent in her flowers, raising and nurturing them.  Her life was as colorful as her flowers to all who she befriended.  Many said she was an inspiration to their lives.  “Sis” was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and friend to many.  She will be dearly missed by those who shared their life with her.  She was preceded in death by her husband, James Odell Burrow; parents, and one brother, Joe Robert Moore.  She is survived by two daughters, Shirley McHone (Billy), and Debbie Roddy (Terry); grandchildren, Jeffrey McHone (Elizabeth), Jason McHone (Samantha), and Sabrina Snider (Brian); two brothers, Lewis Moore, Johnny Moore (Doris) and numerous nieces and nephews.  A funeral service will be conducted 11:00 AM Wednesday, March 6, 2019 at Jefferson Christian Church with Steve Cook, Minister,  officiating.  Interment will follow at the church cemetery.  The family will receive friends Tuesday evening, March 5, 2019 beginning at 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Jefferson Christian Church.  Flowers will be accepted, or memorials may be made to Jefferson Christian Church, 8200 Jefferson Church Road, Rural Hall, NC 27045.  Online condolences may be made at www.hayworth-miller.com.  (Hayworth-Miller Rural Hall).
