Nora Jeanette 'Meme' Lookabill Parrish

Mrs. Nora Jeanette ""Meme"" Lookabill Parrish, 70, of Winston-Salem died Monday, January 21, 2013 at her home. She was born September 11, 1942 in Pittsylvania County, VA, the daughter of the late, Walter Jefferson and Theresa Ann Bohannon Lookabill. Meme was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend to all who knew her. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her daughter, Elaine Rojas, her brother, William ""Pete"" Lookabill and her sister, Betty Beck. Survivors include her husband, Nathan DeLane Parrish; one daughter, Leighann Church and husband, Russell; two granddaughters, Amber Rodrigues and Megan Church; and one brother, Eugene Lookabill all of Winston-Salem; one sister, Shirley Harden of Greensboro; and a number of nieces and nephews. A graveside service will be conducted Thursday at 11:00 AM at Oaklawn Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends Wednesday from 6:00 until 8:00 PM at Hayworth-Miller Silas Creek Chapel.
