Norma Sue Nave Miller

Summerfield – Norma Sue Nave Miller, 81, passed away on Thursday, May 30, 2024, at Carriage House Assisted Living. She was born  on May 30, 1943, in Carter County, TN to the late James Orville and Dorcas Byers Nave. Norma was active in her life and loved spending her time traveling, painting, and reading. Being an avid golfer, she especially loved her family golf trips throughout the southeast. Norma was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend who will dearly be missed.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Robert A. Miller, Sr.; and six siblings, Azilee Buckles, Arbee Johnson, Sydney Nave, Ruble Lynn Campbell, Thurmond Nave, and Shirley Nave.

Left to cherish her memory are her three children, Scott Miller (Michele) of Summerfield, NC, David Miller (Nancy) of Knoxville, TN, and Robert A. Miller, Jr. of Elizabethton, TN; three grandchildren, Leann Miller, Lauren Miller, and Caroline Miller; and two brothers, David Nave (Kathleen), and Kenneth Nave.

The family will receive friends from 5:00-7:00pm on Friday, June 7, 2024, at Hayworth-Miller Kernersville Chapel to celebrate Norma’s life in a visitation. A graveside service will be held at 1:00pm Saturday, June 8, 2024, in the W.A.Miller Cemetery, Butler, TN.
