Norman Eugene Brogdon

Norman Eugene Brogdon, 83, of Winston-Salem, passed away peacefully on Sunday, January 25, 2026.

Norman was born March 31, 1942, in Jacksonville, IL, to the late Maurice Edwin Brogdon and Elizabeth Jean Vasey Brogdon. He was employed in the construction industry for most of his career and retired as a general superintendent. Norman also served as a construction supervisor for Habitat for Humanity and was a member of Pine Grove United Methodist Church in Winston-Salem.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Alice Sherlynne "Sherry" Haines Brogdon; brother, Gary Brogdon; sister, Sharon Allen; brother in-law, Bob Allen; and niece, Lisa Bloome.

Left to cherish his memory are two sons, Andrew Brogdon (Andrea) and Jeffrey Brogdon (Lynne); three daughters, Bonny Moran (Michael), Theresa Wright (Randall) and Cathrine O’Sullivan (Brian); 12 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; sister-in-law, Carolyn Brogdon; best friend of 10 years, Pat Weaver; and numerous nephews, nieces, cousins and extended family.

A funeral service will be held at 2pm on Wednesday, February 4, 2026, at Pine Grove United Methodist Church, with Rev. Sandra Ireson officiating. Burial will immediately follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends the night prior on Tuesday, February 3, 2026, from 4pm – 6pm at Hayworth-Miller Silas Creek Chapel.
