Norman Ransford Dancy

Mr. Norman Ransford Dancy, 81, of Kernersville passed away Saturday June 14, 2014. He was born in Ashe County, NC April 18, 1933 to Ira and Ella Phillips Dancy. Norman was a loving husband and father. He was an avid sports fan and loved the Atlanta Braves and the ACC. Norman grew up in the bakery business and was a distributor for Pepperidge Farm Bread. He loved to travel and was a veteran of the US Army during the Korean Conflict. He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother Phillip Dancy; sisters Pansy Jones, Katherine Hayes, and Joyce McNeil. He is survived by his wife Lola Byrd Dancy; two sons Wesley Dancy, and Brain Dancy and wife Crystal; granddaughter Brianna Dancy; and a brother Gilbert Dancy. A graveside service will be held 2:00 PM Wednesday June 18, 2014 at Parklawn Memorial Park with Pastor Tim Duncan officiating.
