Norman Alexander Highfill

Norman Alexander Highfill, born February 13, 1916, a dedicated Christian father and husband passed away peacefully on Sunday March 9, 2014 at the Brian Center Health. Born in Maddison Maydon, he lived most of his life in Winston-Salem. Norman was a hardworking man, who loved working with his hands and helping others. He was a member of Advent Moravian Church for more than 50 years and enjoyed volunteering at his church and participating in Senior Friends. He was a World War II Veteran. A member of the Clemmons VFW, the ""French fry"" man loved cooking and connecting with his friends. He was proud of his two daughters, Gayneil Gosselin of the home, and Lavonda Wilson of Houston, Texas. He is survived by 5 grandchildren; Andy Gosselin, Sonja Evans, Nick, Lucas, and Jesse Wilson. As well 6 great grandchildren: Lauren, Alex, Ava, Ezra, Aliza and Zoe of Winston-Salem, Houston and Dallas. Visitation will be on Tuesday, March 11, 2014 from 6-8pm at Hayworth Miller on Silas Creek Parkway. The funeral service will be held at Advent Moravian Church on Clemmonsville Road at 2pm on Wednesday March 12, 2014. Any memorial please send to Advent Moravian Church.
