Norman Huland Tucker

Kernersville - Norman Huland Tucker, 95, passed away Thursday, December 22, 2016 at Kate B. Reynolds Hospice Home. Norman was born on March 16, 1921 in Guilford County to Fred M. and Sally Stack Tucker. He was a Veteran of the US Army, retired from Carolina Steel of Greensboro, and was a member of Sedge Garden Methodist Church. Norman was a loving husband and father, who was very dedicated to his family.

In addition to his parents, Norman was preceded in death by two brothers.
Surviving are his wife of 75-1/2 years, Ruth Naomi Gray Tucker; his daughter, Brenda Berrier (husband, Don); two granddaughters, Sherri Brown (husband, Steve) and Ashley Pinnix (husband, Joe); four great grandchildren, Chandler and Spencer Brown, and Joseph and Avery Pinnix.

A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday, December 26, 2016 at Sedge Garden United Methodist Church with Rev. Dave Cash and Rev. Karen Smith officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery with full military honors. The family will receive friends following the service in the Church Fellowship Hall.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Sedge Garden United Methodist Church, 794 Sedge Garden Rd, Kernersville, NC 27284 or Hospice and Palliative Care, 101 Hospice Ln, Winston-Salem, NC 27103. Hayworth Miller Kernersville Chapel is assisting the family.
