Olga Martin Blades

Winston-Salem- Olga Martin Blades, 95, passed away at Forsyth Medical Center on December 30, 2013. She was born to Owen Gibson Martin and Mary Lizzie Martin in Georgia on March 21, 1918. She was of the Lutheran faith. Olga was a loving wife and mother. She and her husband James were married for 53 good years. They enjoyed gardening and working together in the yard. Olga was preceded in death by her husband, James Plant Blades; and son, James Martin Blades. Survivors include her daughter, Arland Blades; granddaughter, Deborah Black; and grandson, Brian Blades. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, January 4, 2014 at Hayworth-Miller, Silas Creek Chapel. She will be laid to rest between her husband and son at Bethel Cemetery in Fort Mead, MD. Online condolences may be made at www.hayworth-miller.com.
