Olin Linville

Mr. Olin Howard Linville, 78, passed away Friday, June 8, 2018 at Forsyth Medical Center. He was born on June 30, 1939 the son of the late Oscar Howard Linville and Lillian Holyfield Linville. Mr. Linville attended Becks Baptist Church and served his country proudly in the United States Army. He retired from R.J. Reynolds Tobacco Co. as head engineer and then partnered with his son to form American Sign Shop in Greensboro. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Lola Vestal and a brother, Alfred Linville. He is survived by his loving wife of 61 years, Patsy Bates Linville; his son, Michael Linville of Greensboro; his grand-dog, "Logan"; a sister, Gloria Key of Winston-Salem; a brother, Ralph Linville of Booneville; and several nieces, nephews, extended family and wonderful friends. Funeral services will be conducted 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, June 12, 2018 at Becks Baptist Church in Winston-Salem with Dr. Karl Minor officiating. Burial with military rites will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 10:00-11:00 prior to the service at Becks Baptist Church in Winston-Salem.
