Oline L. Merritt

Mrs. Oline L. Merritt, 79, passed away Friday October 31, 2014 at her home. She was born in Stokes County on July 22, 1935 to Gurnie Lawson and Alice Campbell. She was preceded in death by her parents, and husband, Clyde Merritt; two sons-in-law, Warner Boles, and Freddy Gillispie. Surviving are three daughters, Jeri Gillispie; Elizabeth Gwynn (Bobby); Katherine Boles; seven grandchildren; 18 great grandchildren; one sister, Betty Hodges. The service will be held at 2:00 PM on Monday, November 3, 2014 at Bethel United Methodist Church with Rev. Tyler Hegee officiating. Interment will follow at the church cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church.
