Kernersville- Mrs. Ollie Mae Dora Bourne Foster Cook, 77, passed away Saturday, September 13, 2025, at Forsyth Medical Center. She was born March 12, 1948, in Gastonia, the daughter of Walter and Annie Taylor Bourne. She was a member of Pleasant View Baptist Church and recently visited Linville Forest Church of Christ. Ollie retired from Fairchild Industries after 30 years of service. She was a member of Teamsters Union #391and loved to fish, bowl, shop and make crafts. Ollie, a generous person, was always there and devoted to her family.
She is preceded in death by her parents; her first husband, Thomas Foster; her second husband, Roger Glenn Cook; her son, Roger Glenn Cook, Jr, and her brother, Ray Bourne.
Survivors include her daughters, Jennie Robertson of Kernersville, Penny Foster of Kernersville, Kristin Cook of Walkertown and Teresa Hogan (Timothy) of Hinesville, GA.; three siblings, Billy Bourne, Peggy Ashburn and Myrtle “Patricia” Allen; six grandchildren, Roberto, Alan, Melissa, Jessica, Jerry and Johnny, Jr., five great grandchildren, and boyfriend, Kenneth Thomas.
A graveside service will be held at 12 noon, Monday, September 22, 2025, in Eastlawn Gardens of Memory with Rev. Timothy Hogan officiating. The family will receive friends from 11AM to 12 PM prior to the service at Hayworth-Miller Kernersville Chapel. Memorial may be made to Linville Forest Church of Christ, 450 Linville Rd., Kernersville, NC 27284.
