Omar Bambara

Omar Jefferson Bambara, 32, passed away on October 29, 2018.  He was born on September 5, 1986 to Vivienne Bambara and Roland Hoff in Washington, DC. In 2007, Omar was living in Minnesota where he met and married the love of his life, Tireka. The couple then moved to North Carolina and started a family. In 2009, Omar joined the U.S. Marine Corps, serving in Afghanistan. In 2013 he joined the Army Reserves. If you knew Omar, you knew that he loved his wife, kids, and his mother, unconditionally. Everyone knew that he was the funniest and kindest person in the room. A gentle giant, Omar loved playing with his kids, playing video games with his best friend, Ray Barbosa, or just talking smack to Stewart about his precious Redskins. Surviving are his loving wife, Tireka Bambara; children, Akera, Armani, Ava, Omar Jr., and Ace; his mother, Vivienne Bambara Giddings; father, Roland Hoff; brothers, Vivion, Mickey, Quincy, Tyrell and Justin; sister, Romitta; mother-in-law, ShekishCole; sisters-in-law, Luvasia, Faness, and Alexus; brother-in-law, Warren; best friend, Ray Barbosa, Brandon Stewart; as well as a host of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, extended family, and many loving friends. A funeral service will be held at 12:00 PM, Saturday, November 3, 2018 at Hayworth-Miller Silas Creek Chapel with Rev.
