Orville Pays

Mr. Orville Jesse Pays, 87, of Winston-Salem, passed away Saturday, December 9, 2017. He was born February 24, 1930 in Kit County, Washington to Edna Becker Pays and Jessie Lee Pays. Mr. Pays was a veteran who served in the U.S. Navy and was a member of First Pentecostal Holiness Church. Surviving are his wife of 65 years, Joan Mahaffey Pays; two children, Christine Marie Allen and husband Tim and Connie Lea Stutts and husband Charlie; one granddaughter and two great grandchildren. A graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, December 12, 2017 at Forsyth Memorial Park with Pastor Tim Wolfe officiating. There is no stated visitation. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Hospice & Palliative Care, 101 Hospice Ln., Winston-Salem, NC 27103. (Hayworth-Miller Silas Creek Chapel)
