Oscar Pendleton Amos

KERNERSVILLE - Mr. Oscar Pendleton Amos, 88, died August 12, 2014 at his home. Oscar was born on March 8, 1926 in Orange County, VA to Ralph Carol and Virginia Martin Amos. He is a veteran of the US Navy and was an active member of Kerwin Baptist Church for many years.

In addition to his parents, Oscar was preceded in death by his wife, Phyllis Cragar Amos.

Surviving are his grandson, Shawn R. Campagna (wife, Patty) of Knoxville, TN, great grandson, Jake; and loving friends, Barbara & Johnny Wilkins of Kernersville.

A funeral service will be held at 3:00 p.m. Wednesday, August 13, 2014 at Hayworth-Miller Kernersville Chapel with Rev. Daniel Hawtree and Dr. Joe Myers. Burial will follow at Gardens of Memory in Walkertown. The family will receive friends from 2:00 - 2:45 p.m. prior to the service at the funeral home.
