Pamela "Pam" Felton Lanier

Pamela "Pam" Felton Lanier was born April 24, 1948, to the late Holland and Louise Felton in Key West, Florida. Pam graduated from Key West High School in 1966. Pam married George "Wayne" Lanier on March 24, 1973. Following the wedding Pam moved to Jacksonville, Florida where she would live for seven years.

In September 1980 Pam moved to Winston-Salem, NC. Pam worked in various clerical positions with Integon Insurance and Wake Forest Baptist Hospital until she retired in 2013.

Following a stroke in October 2023 she moved to Thomasville to live with her son's family. Pam spent her final months at Piedmont Crossing with nurses she loved and even called two of them her best friends.

On July 11, 2026, with her family at her bedside listening to her favorite music Pam got to see her faith realized as she saw Jesus face to face.

Pam was an avid fan of Elvis, The Andy Griffith Show, I Love Lucy and lighthouses. Pam enjoyed going to the beach, being involved in church wherever she lived, spending time with family, reading, playing card games and bowling. Pam loved being a mom but loved being maw-maw to Nolan and Ainsley even more.

In addition to her parents, Pam was preceded in death by her brother, Ronald "Ronnie" Felton; sister-in-law, Cathy Felton; and ex-husband, Wayne Lanier. Pam is survived by her daughter, Sylvia Lanier; son, Dwayne Lanier (Amber); grandchildren, Nolan and Ainsley; 13 nephews, 6 nieces, and many great nephews and nieces.

A funeral service will be held at 2:00pm on Friday, July 17, 2026, at Hayworth-Miller Silas Creek Chapel with Rev. Sam Sorrells and Rev. Dwayne Lanier officiating. Entombment will follow at Westlawn Gardens of Memory. The family will receive friends from 5:30pm until 7:30pm on Thursday at Hayworth-Miller Silas Creek Chapel.
