Pamela ‘Kay’ Triplett, 77, went to be with her Lord Thursday morning, October 24, 2024, at her home in Winston-Salem, NC. Kay was born August 8, 1947, in Rockingham County to the late Charlie Newell and Mabel Case Newell Frye. She was a Christian and spent her life serving the Lord.
Kay graduated from the Forsyth Hospital School of Nursing and was a Registered Nurse for 56 years-retired. She loved caring for others. Kay worked for Forsyth Medical Center (Novant) for 12 years and finished the rest of her career as a nurse at Silas Creek Rehab in Winston-Salem before she retired.
Kay married the love of her life in 1966 and celebrated 58 years this year. Kay loved the Lord, husband, family and music. Kay always said that she had a great life and to celebrate her death because on this day a new life begins.
Kay is survived by husband of 58 years Henry R. Triplett ‘Buddy’ of the home; son, Bryon Triplett (Jamie) of Winston-Salem; daughters, Shara Hedrick (Kevin) of High Point, and Laura Propst (Jason) of Lexington; nine grandchildren, Tiffany, Shannon, Bly, Kirsten, Ashlyn, Isaac, Levi, Eli, and Kaylee; four great grandchildren, Lyla, Zane, Jace, Ophelia; and two brothers, Derek Newell (Brandi) of Greensboro and Don Newell (Deborah) of Mayodan.
A memorial service will be held 11 AM Saturday, November 2, 2024 at the First Pentecostal Holiness Church 1448 East US HWY 64, Lexington, with Rev. Dayle Marley officiating. The family will receive friends 1 hour prior to the service at the church.
