Patricia Danner Allen

Mrs. Patricia Ann Danner Allen, 81, passed away peacefully with her family by her side on Saturday, June 15, 2024, at Kate B. Reynolds Hospice Home in Winston-Salem. She was born in Forsyth County on February 6, 1943, the daughter of the late William Ernest Danner and Myrtle Josephine Spann Danner. Mrs. Allen was a member of Mt. Pleasant Methodist Church in Tobaccoville and loved to sew and knit. She loved her family greatly and loved making memories with them. Mrs. Allen is survived by her husband of 61 years, Charles Allen; her two daughters, Michelle Vanhoy (Brent) and Jennifer Mitchell (Kerry); six grandchildren, Morgan Smitherman (Parker), Sidney Wall (Ben), Lydia Mitchell, Natalie Mitchell, Preston Mitchell and Karson Mitchell; and four great-grandchildren, Nora Smitherman, Aubrey Smitherman, Harrison Wall and Lillian Wall. She is also survived by a sister, Deborah Spence; two brothers, Bill Danner (Mona) and Richard Danner (Deborah); and many nieces, nephews and extended family. Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, June 18, 2024, at Mt. Pleasant Methodist Church with Pastor David Joyce officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 1:00-2:00 prior to the service at the church. The family would like to thank Trellis Supportive Care for the loving care shown to Mrs. Allen but especially to Amber and Jessica who took care of her at her home.
