Patricia Burnette

Mrs. Patricia Ann Simmons Burnette, 61, passed away on February 26, 2018 at Forsyth Medical Center. She was born on April 20, 1956 to Maddie and Ralph Simmons in Winston-Salem. Patricia was employed by Quality Oil for 20 years. She lived a quiet, simple life; expressing her creative side through songwriting and poetry. Her faith inspired everything she did. She will always be remembered as a woman of prayer. In addition to her parents, Patricia was preceded in death by a daughter, Debbie; as well as siblings, Carl and Judy Simmons. Surviving are her loving husband of 47 years, Jerry Burnette; daughter, Lisa Burnette; and son, Jerry Eldred Burnette, Jr. A funeral service will be held at 12:00 noon on Friday, March 2, 2018 at Hayworth-Miller Silas Creek Chapel. A private interment will follow at Oaklawn Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 10:00 AM-12:00 noon, prior to the service at the funeral home.
