Patricia Blackman Enloe

Patricia Blackman Enloe of Winston-Salem died Thursday morning May 23, 2013 at age 84, of natural causes at her home. She was born in Durham, NC on November 27, 1928 to Verna and Henry Blackman. She attended Meredith College for two years before marrying William G. Enloe, Jr. of Raleigh, NC on August 17, 1950. They were married 55 years until his death on November 22, 2005. They reared three sons, Bill, Michael, and Steve. A devoted mother and wife, Pat was active in the church and Sunday school at Mt. Tabor United Methodist Church. Her hard work earned her the presidency of the Suzanne Wesley Sunday School class for many years. She and her husband traveled widely. She enjoyed summers at Lake Norman and could be seen riding her jet ski until last year when she was 83. She was predeceased by her son Steve. She is survived by two sons, Bill III, of Lewisville and Mike of Atlanta, Kelly Barnes, her daughter in law, Danielle Barnes, her grand-daughter and two great grandchildren, Marissa and Austin both of Lewisville. The family wishes to express its gratitude to Hospice, especially Erica and Barbara. Kelly Barnes, her daughter in law, cared for her selflessly and tirelessly the last five months of Pat's life. A Memorial Service will be held at Mt. Tabor United Methodist Church on Tuesday May 28, 2013 at 2:00 PM. In lieu of flowers, please make your donations to Hospice of Winston-Salem.
