Patricia Ann Feist

KERNERSVILLE- Patricia Ann Feist, 81, passed away September 23, 2016. She was born in Minnesota on March 14, 1935 to the late Walter James and Mamie Lucinda Grubb Nussear. Prior to moving to Kernersville 24 years ago following the death of her husband, Mrs. Feist lived in many places, eventually settling in Florida after her husband left the Air Force to pursue a career in Christian education. She was a world traveler, making several trips to Europe, as well as numerous trips to Minnesota and Texas to visit family and friends. She loved her family, and followed football, particularly keeping up with Cam Newton and the Carolina Panthers. She walked in her neighborhood almost everyday, and many people would acknowledge her with a honk of their horn and a wave of their hand. She attended Triad Adventist Fellowship, where she was especially known for her great hugs. After spending many years working in retail at several places, her last place of employment was Baskets & Beyond in downtown Kernersville, where she became very well known and admired for her friendliness. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Feist was preceded in death by her husband, David W. Feist; one sister and one brother. Surviving are three her children - Mara-Lea Coston (Howard), Terry Feist (Rebeckah), and Thomas Feist (Sandi); five grandchildren - Adam Coston, Anthony Feist, Melissa Feist Barksdale (Chad), Jared Coston, and David Feist; five great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. A Memorial Service will be held at 2:00PM, Saturday, October 1, 2016 at Triad Adventist Fellowship, 705 Sunshine Way, Greensboro, North Carolina 27409. The family will receive friends from 6:00-8:00PM, Friday September 30, 2016 at Hayworth-Miller Kernersville Chapel.
