Patricia Martin

Ms. Patricia Martin, 81, of Clemmons, NC passed away Monday, May 26, 2025 at the Trinity Elms Assisted Living. She was born December 17, 1943 in Jersey City, NJ.

Patricia was the longtime owner and operator of Patskids, a beloved daycare center that touched the lives of countless children and their families. Her warmth, creativity, and deep care left a lasting impact on generations of young learners. Beyond her work with children, Patricia had a remarkable eye for design. She took great pride in transforming spaces, both her own and those she managed for clients, through her keen sense of style and attention to detail.

She loved the beach and found peace by the ocean and sound. A passionate gardener, Patricia took great pleasure in sharing her extensive knowledge of plants and helping others appreciate the beauty of the landscape. She was a longtime member of Christ Lutheran Church, where her faith and sense of community remained a constant source of strength and guidance.

Patricia also dedicated time to local advocacy, serving as past president of the Wantagh S.E.P.T.A., supporting students with special needs and their families.

Patricia was preceded in death by her parents, John and Ruth Kindelberger Martin and twin sister, Barbara Martin-Hart and sister Elaine Sebesta. Surviving are her children, David Grossnickle (Debra), Todd, Grossnickle, John Grossnickle and Barbara Grossnickle; four grandchildren, Emily, Kristen, Alyssa and Julia and three great grandchildren, Holden, Joseph and Emmett, and nephews Loren and Rob. 

The family will have a private service at Augsburg Lutheran Church. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Trinity Elms Assisted Living, 3750 Harper Rd., Clemmons, NC 27012.
