Patricia Ann Burwell Owens

Mrs. Patricia Ann Burwell Owens, 87, passed away Tuesday, March 19, 2024, at Kate B. Reynolds Hospice Home. She was born December 9, 1936, in Stokes County to the late Willis Burwell and Vera Hall Burwell. Patricia was a faithful member at Germanton Baptist Church where she was in the choir and taught Sunday School. She was a loving mother and grandmother. In addition, she enjoyed cooking, working in her flower gardens, and spending time with Gabby, her dog. Patricia was a teacher’s assistant at Rural Hall Elementary and Mineral Springs Elementary. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Charles D. Owens; two sisters, Zelma Gillespie and Niece James; and two brothers, G.W. Burwell and Ralph Burwell. She is survived by her two daughters, Deborah Owens Lejarre (Pete) and Vickie O. Crabb; two grandchildren, Devin Robertson (Hannah) and Addison Adams (Owen); brother-in-law, Bill Owens; as well as a bonus son, Josh Cook and several special nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be conducted 12:00pm Saturday, March 23, 2024, at Germanton Baptist Church with Rev. Bill Messer officiating. Inurnment will follow the service in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 11:00am until 12:00pm Saturday, March 23, 2024, at Germanton Baptist Church. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Trellis Supportive Care, Attn.
