Patricia "Pat" Pranger

Patricia Pranger of Winston-Salem, NC, formerly of Cap Coral, Florida, passed away peacefully at home on July 30, 2026 at the age of 97.

Born in 1929 in Chicago, Illinois, Pat was the daughter of Genieve and John Keeffe. She met her husband-to-be in junior college and together they built a life filled with love. Bill and Pat raised 5 children together as they moved between various states.

Pat was always knitting or crocheting items for her family. She was an avid reader who loved all different sorts of book genres. In retirement she and Bill enjoyed traveling in the United States, Europe, and Africa.

She is survived by her 5 children - Karen, Linda, Susan, Bill, and Donna, 5 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband Bill and brother Jack.

In keeping with her wishes, Pat will be cremated. A private celebration of life will take place for the family.

Pat's husband, William Pranger of Winston-Salem, NC, formerly of Cape Coral, Fl, passed away peacefully at home on February 23, 2020, at the age of 91.

Born in 1929 in Chicago, Illinois, Bill was the son of Hazel Marquardt and Conrad Pranger.

He was an excellent basketball player and was recruited to play professional basketball. Instead, he chose to marry his college sweetheart, Patricia Keeffe, and raise 5 children. He had a very rewarding career in the retail industry.

His 5 children warmly remember all of the Sunday drives to see what they could discover. This allowed their mother to enjoy the quiet house, and he got time to spend with his kids. He taught his children to have a strong work ethic and to leave the world a better place than they found it.

He is survived by his wife Patricia (Pat), 5 children (Karen, Linda, Susan, Bill, and Donna) and 5 grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his sister and brother.
