Patricia Calloway Ridings, 72, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, July 28, 2026, at her home. She was born in Macon County, North Carolina, on November 24, 1953, to the late John Calloway and Bertha Crisp Billingsley.
Patty was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend whose life was centered on her faith in Jesus Christ and her love for her family. A devoted member of Enon Baptist Church, she found immense joy in serving her church and faithfully sharing God’s love with those around her. Her Christian faith was the foundation of her life, and she was committed to instilling the Word of God in her children and grandchildren by both her example and her unwavering devotion.
Her greatest happiness came from spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. Whether gathering for holidays, celebrating life’s milestones, or simply enjoying time together, Patricia treasured every moment. She had a gentle spirit, a caring heart, and a gift for making everyone feel welcomed and loved. Her kindness, encouragement, and steadfast faith touched countless lives.
She is survived by her loving husband, Frank Ridings; sons, Geoff Stewart (Amy), Tim Stewart, James Hutchins (Jennifer), Eric Ridings (Sheila), and Kirk Ridings (Jessica); daughter, Julie Zebron (Nathan); daughter, Opal Hardin; 17 grandchildren; one great-grandchild; her sister, Beverley Billingsley (Tommy); and her brother, Derek Calloway; and many special nieces and nephews.
A Celebration of Life will be held at 4:00 pm on Saturday, August 15th at Enon Baptist Church. A reception will follow in the fellowship hall.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Hands of Hope Medical Clinic in Yadkinville, Solus Christus, or Yadkin County Rescue Squad.
Though Patricia will be deeply missed, her family finds comfort in knowing that she is now in the presence of her Savior. Her legacy of faith, love, compassion, and service will continue to live on through the family she cherished and the many lives she touched.
