Patricia Forshee Roberson

Mrs. Patricia Forshee Roberson, age 71, of Winston-Salem and Roaring Gap, entered into the arms of her Lord and Savior on May 12th 2025, passing in her sleep after a long and courageous battle with MDS.

Born on April 3rd, 1954 in Cheverly, Maryland, Pattie was the beloved daughter of the late Gordon William and Alma Hall Forshee. Pattie is survived by her husband of 49 years, David Roberson and her sons Wesley (Megan) of Winston-Salem and Justin (Laura) of Raleigh; 5 grandchildren Olivia (10), Graham (9) and Wyatt (6) of Raleigh, and Kathryn (7) and Kennedy (11 months) of Winston-Salem; sister Dianne Baker (Bob) and brother, Jeff Forshee (Penni) and many nieces and nephews who she loved as if they were her own children.

Pattie's educational journey began at Lees-McRae College and culminated at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. She then embarked on a fulfilling career as an X-Ray technician at North Carolina Baptist Hospital in Winston-Salem. After several years, Pattie decided to prioritize her family, dedicating her time to raising Wesley and Justin. During this period, she also enjoyed working at the esteemed Elizabeth Williams clothier, before a personally impactful stage of life working as the buyer for Villa Gifts boutique. Five years spent in the home furnishing world helped stir up her passion for home decorating and design. Pattie took the bold step to start her own company bringing client’s interior design dreams to life. She continued this work formally for almost two decades and informally until the end of her days.

All of these professional opportunities, however exciting, paled in comparison to her ultimate calling as “Lollie”. She poured out her love upon each grandchild, whether she was attending dance recitals, soccer games, baking cookies, going on golf cart rides, or roasting marshmallows at one of the many fire pits. She desired to be as present as possible in each of her grandchildren’s lives and being with them brought her immense joy.

Her strength, grace, and unwavering faith were a testimony to all who knew and loved her. Her faith grew stronger even in her final years, and she never lost her warm smile, her steadfast love for her family and friends, or her ability to bless others, even in the midst of personal trials.

A celebration of life will be held at College Park Baptist Church (1701 Polo Rd. Winston-Salem, NC) on Saturday, May 17th, at 3pm, with Pastor Ramon Smith officiating. The family will receive friends prior to the service in the Garden Lobby at College Park Baptist starting at 2pm.

The family extends heartfelt thanks to Dr. Karin Giordano, MD, Dr. Franklin Chen MD, Michelle Lovelace and the rest of the staff at Novant Health Cancer Institute - Forsyth (Hematology) for their compassionate care and support.

Though our hearts are heavy, we rejoice knowing she is whole again, pain free, and resting in eternal peace. Her legacy of faith, family, and love will live on for generations to come.

"Well done, good and faithful servant." – Matthew 25:23
