Patricia Irene Sheets

In the early hours of Wednesday, December 27^th, 2023, Patricia “Pat” Jones Sheets went to her heavenly home. Pat was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother during her incredible 82 years of life.

Pat was born in Wilkesboro, North Carolina on February 23^rd, 1941. She spent her childhood in the rolling hills of the country, helping her mother and father with their barber shop when she could. On August 27^th, 1962, she married Billy “William” Sheets, and spent 61 wonderful years together. In, 1964, they moved to Pfafftown, NC, and opened El Reno Hair Unlimited. This beauty shop became a pinnacle of the community for over 50 years. In 1965 they welcomed their daughter Lisa, and three years later had a son Allen.

She loved, and cared deeply for her family, neighbors, and church family. You could always count on her for a helping hand. She was very involved at her church and spreading the word of God. She was a member of Old Town Baptist Church for 59 years. She enjoyed helping with Sunday school and was a part of the Red Hat Society. One of her favorite hobbies was antiquing. You could always find her at antique, or estate sale. She was a collector of dolls and took pride in keeping heirlooms from generations of her family.

Most of all, she loved spending time with her family, especially her grandkids and great grandkids. She was at every dance recital, music concert, swim meets, and baseball games with a smile on her face. She always made sure to tell her family how much she loved them, how beautiful/handsome they were, and how proud she was to be their mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother.

Patricia is survived by her loving husband, Billy “William” Sheets, daughter, Lisa Sheets Lineback (Gil Lineback), daughter-in-law, Michelle Sheets. Grandchildren: Whitney Lineback (Glenn Nelson), Zachary Lineback (Shelby Lineback), Tiffany Sheets (Thomas Covington), Cody Lineback (Erika Lineback), and Lauren Sheets (Tyler Douglas). Great-Grandchildren: Cheyann Horne, Colten Horne, Addison Nelson, Tanner Lineback, Maddox Lineback, and Aubree Lineback. Sister Nila Caldwell. Her dear friend more like a sister, Eileen Edwards, and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Thomas Bruce Jones, and Flois Fox Jones, brother John Paul Jones, and son, Allen Dean Sheets.

Visitation will be held at Old Town Baptist Church of Winston-Salem on Saturday, December 30^th at 10:00am, and is open to the public. The funeral service will follow immediately at 11:00am. The burial service will conclude at the Sheets cemetery at 3:00pm in Laurel Springs. Flowers may be sent to Hayworth-Miller Funeral Home at 6685 Shallowford Rd.
