Patricia "Patti" Langford Zimmerman

Mrs. Patricia ""Patti"" Gail Langford Zimmerman, 71, of Lexington left this world on Saturday, October 8, 2016 at Wake Forest Baptist Health, surrounded by loved ones who held her and told her how much they loved her until the end. She was born on March 20, 1945 in Forsyth County to Junior and Doris Whitley Langford. Mrs. Zimmerman was a loving mother, wife, and an adoring grandmother and great grandmother. She was also a loving friend. She loved her extended family in Atlantic Dunes at N. Myrtle Beach. She enjoyed music, especially beach music and was a gourmet cook. She was full of class and grace. Mrs. Zimmerman was a member of New Friendship Baptist Church and she owned Headhunters Hair Studios where she had an empathetic heart to many and was known for her beautiful smile. She was preceded in death by her father and one sister, Linda Kay Langford. She is survived by her husband of 46 years, O.D. ""Butch"" Zimmerman of the home; two sons, Trey Zimmerman of Charleston, SC, Payton and his wife Michelle of Lexington; a daughter, Lisa Crabb and husband Mike of Lexington; six grandchildren; one great grandson; mother, Doris Langford Hagerman; one sister, Tomie Johnson; numerous extended family and friends. A funeral service will be conducted at 1:00pm on Tuesday October 11, 2016 at New Friendship Baptist Church with Pastor Chris Byrne and Mr. Mike Crabb officiating. Entombment will follow at Parklawn Memorial Park Mausoleum. The family will receive friends from 11:00 am until 1:00 pm Tuesday at the church. The family would like to thank the doctors and staff and Novant Health and Wake Forest Baptist Health for the loving care given to Patti. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to New Friendship Baptist Church Building Fund, 4258 Old Lexington Rd., Winston-Salem, NC 27107.
