Patrick Lee Smith

Patrick Lee Smith, 76, of Winston-Salem, passed away July 7, 2026, at his home.

Mr. Smith was born July 12, 1949, in Buchanan County, VA, to Frederick Robinson Smith and Rosa Lee Hagy Smith. Patrick was a member of the Ponies of the Piedmont Mustang Club and also enjoyed cruises. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Michael Frederic Smith.

Left to cherish his memory are his wife, Melinda Dawn Stanley Smith; two sons, Wesley Robinson Cox, and Christopher Kevin Cox; three grandchildren, Heaven Theresa Cox, Noah Christopher Cox, and Jeremiah Ethan Cox; two sisters, Colleen Smith Huff, and Mary Ann Pollard; five nieces, Heather Smith Mabry, Corie Smith Calhoun, Kristy Stanley Beachy, Whitney Stanley Michelides, and Nicole Bellamy-Bermudez; and one nephew, Richard Allen Stanley.

A graveside service will be held 2PM Sunday, July 12, 2026, at Meadows of Dan Baptist Church in Virginia.

The family will receive friends from 5-7PM Saturday at Hayworth-Miller Silas Creek Chapel.
