Patsy Hanes

Mrs. Patsy Ann Bates Hanes, 82, passed away Thursday, April 25, 2019 at her home in Advance.  She was born November 3, 1936 in Forsyth County to Marvin Woodrow and Mildred Allen Bates.  She graduated from Mocksville High School in 1954 and was a life long member of Bethlehem United Methodist Church.  Mrs. Hanes retired from Integon/GMAC Insurance Co. with 33 years of service and she enjoyed volunteering at Storehouse for Jesus.  Surviving is her husband of 59 years, James “Sonny” Hanes of the home; two sons, Jeff Hanes (Stacey) of Advance and David Hanes (Rikki Bertschi) of High Point; one grandson, Trey Estep; a sister, Nancy Smith and a brother, Woodie Bates, all of Advance.  A memorial service will be held 2:00 P.M. Monday, April 29, 2019 at Bethlehem United Methodist Church with Dr. Chuck Baker and Dr. Barry Lemons officiating.  The family will receive friends following the service.  In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorials be made to Storehouse for Jesus or to Bethlehem United Methodist Church.  Online condolences may be made to www.hayworth-miller.com.  (Hayworth-Miller Kinderton Chapel) A very special thank you to Kim Dula and Amy Condra for their loving care of Patsy.
