Paul Wesley Forbus

Mr. Paul Wesley Forbus, 81, passed away Sunday, August 8, 2010 at Kate B. Reynolds Hospice Home in Winston-Salem. He was born October 27, 1928 in Forsyth County to the late Wesley Cecil Forbus and Della Stilley Forbus of Lewisville. Mr. Forbus was a loving husband, father, grandfather and father-in-law. He also served in the United States Army for two years. Mr. Forbus was preceded in death by a brother, Alfred L. Forbus and a nephew, Kenneth Pennington. Surviving are his wife of 59 years, Bobbyette Pegram Forbus of the home; one son, Randal Keith Forbus and wife Sherrie of King; a granddaughter, Ashley Forbus Westbrook and husband Gregg of Stokesdale; a grandson, Wesley Keith Forbus and wife C.J. of Winston-Salem; a sister, Blanche Forbus Pennington and husband Bud of Lewisville; a special sister-in-law, Flora Ruth Forbus of Lewisville; an aunt, Beulah Zimmerman of Winston-Salem; a niece, Teresa Forbus Hobson and husband Gray of Lewisville and daughter, Katie; nephew, Michael Forbus and wife Shady of Lewisville and children, Stone and Salem and a nephew, Sammy Pennington and son Joey Pennington and wife Carla of Lewisville. Mr. Forbus never met a stranger and he had numerous very special friends. A graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, August 11, 2010 at Boyers Church of Christ cemetery with Mr. James Percival officiating. The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Tuesday at Hayworth-Miller Silas Creek Chapel. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Hospice & Palliative Care Center, 101 Hospice Ln., Winston-Salem, NC or to Senior Services, Inc., Meals on Wheels Program, 2895 Shorefair Dr., P.O.
