Mr. Paul Edwin Joyner, 93, of Winston-Salem, passed away Monday, December 01, 2014.
Paul was born November 5, 1921 to the late Paul Harding Joyner and Vesta Kendall Joyner. He served in the U.S. Army during WWII, and upon his return worked as a machine operator in furniture manufacturing. In his free time, he enjoyed woodworking, working on lawnmowers and repairing bicycles for neighborhood children. Paul was preceded in death by his wife, Annie Klutz Joyner. Paul is survived by daughters, Linda Cline and husband Steve and Sandra Oldham and husband Allen, all of Winston-Salem; sons, Edwin Lee Joyner and wife Tammy of Winston-Salem and Keith Joyner and wife Patricia of Mint Hill; sister, Pearl Stanford of Winston-Salem; 11 grandchildren; and 5 great-grandchildren. A private family service will be held at Oaklawn Memorial Gardens. The family would like to extend a special thanks to the staff of Silas Creek Rehabilitation Center and Hospice & Palliative Care for their wonderful care of Paul.
