Paul Lee "Pete" Jones Jr.

Paul Lee “Pete” Jones Jr., 84, passed away on April 26, 2026, at Willow Valley Nursing and Rehab in Winston-Salem, NC.

Pete was born on February 5, 1942, in Winston-Salem, NC, to Paul Lee Jones Sr. and Arvesta Smith Jones. He graduated from high school in Lenoir, NC. Pete retired from Josten Printing, where he worked as a printer.

Pete loved traveling and having adventures with his loving wife, Burlee. He also used to enjoy amusement parks, riding roller coasters with Mariette, fishing, and his favorite place to visit was the beach. Pete enjoyed a variety of music and was quick to dance to whatever tune was playing. More than anything, Pete enjoyed spending time with his immediate and extended family.

In addition to his parents, Pete was preceded in death by his stepdaughter, Pamela Rupert of Winston-Salem, NC. He is survived by his beloved wife, Delia Burlee Jones; sons, Greg Jones and fiancé Julie of Kentucky, and Christopher Jones and wife Sherri of Trinity, NC; step-daughter, Mariette Winkler Lisk and husband Kenneth of Boone, NC; grandchildren, Allen Smith of Eden, NC, Brooks Rupert and Brittnei Rupert of Winston-Salem, NC, Ean Blake Lisk of Nevada, Sarah Lusk, of West Virginia, and Chelsea Jones; and great-grandson, Braelon Price.

A funeral service will be held at 12:00 pm on Saturday, May 2, 2026, at Pine Grove United Methodist Church, 1130 Jonestown Road, Winston-Salem, NC 27103, officiated by Rev. Sandra Ireson. A burial will immediately follow the service at the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 10:30 am-12:00 pm at the church.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Pine Grove United Methodist Church, 1130 Jonestown Road, Winston-Salem, NC 27103.
