Paul Myers

Mr. Paul Myers, 81, of Pfafftown, passed away Monday, January 13, 2014 at Forsyth Medical Center. He was born August 21, 1932 in Iredell County to Spurgeon Robert and Nettie Harris Myers. Mr. Myers was a member of Refuge Baptist Church. He was retired from R.C. Flynt & Son with many years of service. He loved music and played all different types of instruments. He was preceded in death by his parents; many brothers and sisters; and a special companion, Hilda Kennedy. Surviving are three daughters, Fay Martinez and husband Jose of Clemmons, Kathy Motsinger and husband Jerry of Wallburg, and Sue Yarbrough and husband Luke of Pfafftown; eight grandchildren; fourteen great grandchildren; one brother, Commie Lee Myers of Wilkes County; and his former wife and special friend, Jo Ann Marsh of Winston-Salem. A graveside service will be held at 2:30 p.m. Wednesday, January 15 at Oaklawn Memorial Gardens with the Rev. Bobby Holcomb officiating. The family will receive friends from 12:00 - 2:00 p.m. Wednesday at Hayworth-Miller Silas Creek Chapel prior to the service.
