Paul Jeffrey Newton

Mr. Paul Jeffrey Newton, 66, of Winston-Salem passed away January 8, 2014 at his home of natural causes. Jeffrey was born on December 13, 1947 in Forsyth County to Jerry Lewis Newton, Jr. and Reba Burton Newton. After graduating from R.J. Reynolds High School, he attended and graduated from Guilford College. Following a brief career in surveying, he joined his father in the real estate business. Later, he became a successful investor in securities which continued until his death. Jeffrey was preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by a sister, Ann Newton Graham of Seabrook Island, SC; a brother, Joseph Wesley Newton of Atlanta, GA; and three nephews, John Ellison Graham, Jr. of Sullivan, MO, Andrew Newton Graham of San Diego, CA, and Matthew Wesley Graham of Charleston, SC. A memorial service will be held at 4:00 pm Monday, March 24, 2014 in the Chapel (4th ½ Street entrance) at Centenary United Methodist Church, of Winston-Salem, with the Rev. Craig Ford officiating.
