Pauline Clinard

Kernersville – Mrs. Pauline Tilley Clinard, 90, passed away peacefully, Wednesday, January 2, 2019 at her home. Pauline was born October 5, 1928 in Forsyth County to the late Robert Martin Tilley and Alice Calhoun Tilley. She was the most devoted, caring and loving person anyone could ever know. Pauline, who loved being a mother, was the most loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and aunt anyone could ask for.

In addition to her parents, Pauline was preceded in death by her husband, C.V. Clinard; and a son, Tommy Lee Clinard.

Surviving are six children, Carol Parrish (Calvin), Susan Hemrick (Preston), Robert Clinard (Pam), Brenda "Bobo" Bowden (Richard), Teresa Newsome (Frank Sr.), and James Clinard (Kim); daughter-in-law, Jean Clinard; a sister, Dorothy Tilley; many grandchildren, great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren, too numerous to mention; a granddaughter and caregiver, Kimberly Lawson-Mashburn, and her children, Brittany Lawson and Hunter Mashburn, all of the home.

A funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, January 5, 2019 at Kerwin Baptist Church with Rev. Daniel Hawtree  and Dr. Joe Myers officiating. Burial will follow at Eastlawn Gardens of Memory. The family will receive friends from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. Friday, January 4, 2019 at Hayworth-Miller Kernersville Chapel.

The family would like to offer a special thanks to Trellis Supportive Care for all the hours and trips they made out to the house to care for Pauline during her illness.
