Pauline Thompson

Pauline Elizabeth Cody Thompson, 95, passed away peacefully at her residence on Saturday, March 11, 2023. She was born on September 3, 1927, in Davidson County. Pauline enjoyed her life, as she spent it doing the things she loved. She was a proud business owner of Pine Printing and had a career at Kaiser Roth Mill where she was a knitter. Once she retired, you could often find her going to country music concerts, attending the Brave’s baseball games, sewing, and doll making. She will be missed by those who knew and loved her.

Pauline is preceded in death by her loving and devoted mother Martishie Pierce Cody; husband, Fredrick Anderson Thompson; daughter Gale T. Riddick; Daughter-in-law Shenan Riddick; and brother Robert Cody.

Left to cherish her memory are her daughter Janice T. Reddick (Terry); son-in-law James Riddick; granddaughter Beth Riddick; three grandsons Art Riddick, Micah Reddick, and Scott Reddick (Heather); five great-grandchildren Jordan Riddick, Darby Riddick, Cameron Reddick, Pierce Riddick, and Carson Reddick; she is also lovingly survived by her sisters, Nancy Cody Blanton and Minnie Smith as well as brother Albert Cody and countless nieces and nephews.

A memorial service for Pauline will be held at 1:00 PM on Tuesday, March 14, 2023, at Union Grove Baptist Church with Pastor Steve Roberson officiating a visitation will follow the service at the church. Interment will follow at 11:00 AM on Wednesday, March 15, 2023, at Guilford Memorial Park. Memorials may be made to Union Grove Baptist Church at 5424 Union Grove Rd, Oak Ridge, NC 27310, or to Baptist Children’s Homes of NC at 204 Idol Street, Thomasville, NC, 27360. Hayworth-Miller Kernersville Chapel is assisting the family.
