Mrs. Pearl Jacqualine Jones Lunsford, 85, passed away Saturday, August 1, 2015 at Oak Forest Health & Rehabilitation. She was born January 17, 1930 in Stokes County to the late Minnie McIntyre Jones and Robert Lee Jones. Pearl retired from Western Electric with 20 years of service and was a member of Old Orchard Primitive Baptist Church. She was a faithful servant of the Lord and enjoyed helping those in need. Pearl was a great baker and for many years baked pound cakes weekly for the homeless shelter. Her strong faith and unconditional love were a true testimony to her family and all those who knew her. In addition to her parents, Pearl was preceded in death by all of her sisters. She is survived by her devoted husband of 65 years, Reuben E. Lunsford; four children: David E. Lunsford (Sharon), Wanda L. Shultz (Kevin), Robert W. Lunsford, and Roger W. Lunsford; eight grandchildren: Mitchell, Nathan, Penny, Oceanus, Taylor, Justin, Amber, and Samantha; six great-grandchildren: Seth, Stephanie, Ashelynn, Austin, John Michael, and Cassandra; two great-great-grandchildren, Kayleigh and Mckinlee; and numerous extended family and friends. To honor Pearl's wishes, there will be no formal services held. Her body will be laid to rest at Gardens of Memory in Walkertown. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to: Susan G. Komen NC Triad Affiliate, 1106 Burke Street, Winston-Salem, NC 27101. Proverbs 31:28-29 ""Her children arise up, and call her blessed; her husband also, and he praiseth her. Many daughters have done virtuously, but thou excellest them all.""
