Pearl Coble Taylor

Pearl Coble Taylor, 90, passed away peacefully surrounded by loved ones on Friday, April 5, 2024. She was born in Guilford County on September 23, 1933, to the late Thomas Coble and Rosabell Berry Coble. Pearl was a loving mother, grandmother, and wife. She adored her grandchildren and loved spending time with her family. Pearl worked at Cone Hosiery and Pine Knolls snack bar. She will be missed by those who knew and loved her. 

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her loving husband, James B. Taylor; a brother, Dubb Coble; two brothers-in-law Gray Taylor (Linda Taylor) and Melvin Taylor (Alma Taylor); as well as four sisters-in-law, Linda Coble, Shelby Coble, Edna Coble, Jean Taylor.

Surviving is her son, Steve Taylor (Kim); grandchildren, Logan Taylor, and Savannah Taylor; a sister, Peggy Surratt; three brothers, Jimmy Coble, Bobby Coble, and Martin Coble; Sister-in-law Sandra Taylor; Pearl’s last living best friend, Linda Woody; as well as several nieces and nephews.

The family of Pearl would like to extend a special thank you to the staff of the Kernersville Shepherd Center, Kernersville Medical Center, Winston-Salem Senior Services, Meals on Wheels, and the Hospice nurses that provided aid to Pearl and her family. 

A graveside service will be held at 2:00 PM on Tuesday, April 9, 2024, at Eastlawn Gardens of Memory with Pastor Kevin Kilbreth officiating. A visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at Hayworth-Miller Kernersville Chapel. In lieu of flowers, donations in Pearl’s honor may be sent to the Shepherd Center of Kernersville at 636 Gralin St, Kernersville, NC 27284.
