Peggie Brower

Kernersville- Mrs. Peggie Vanhoy Dalton Brower, 87, passed away peacefully on January 3, 2019 at her residence. She was born on December 3, 1932 in Guilford County to Thomas R. and Bernice Friddle Vanhoy. Peggie was a member of Bethel United Methodist Church.

In addition to her parents, Peggie was proceeded in death by two husbands, Ernest “Junior” Dalton and Clayton Brower; two sisters, Lois Bryson and Rachel Valentine; and one brother, Tommy Vanhoy.

She is survived by her son, Darren Dalton; one grandson, Grant Dalton; two sisters, Cheryl Combs (Ronnie) and Regina Griffin; one brother, Johnny Vanhoy; and numerous nieces and nephews.

A funeral service for Peggie will be held at 2:30 pm on Saturday, January 5, 2019 at Bethel United Methodist Church in Oak Ridge with Rev. Alan Mears officiating. Burial will follow the service in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends following the service in the church fellowship hall. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Good Samaritan’s Ministry of Stokesdale, 8500 Ellisboro Road, PO Box 202, Stokesdale, North Carolina 27357.
