Mrs. Peggy Ann Prim Duggins, 85, of Rural Hall, NC, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Saturday, August 15, 2026. Peggy was born in Forsyth County on May 4, 1941.
Peggy was a faithful member of Freedom Baptist Church as long as her health permitted. She loved traveling with her family, especially going on cruises and spending time at the beach. Peggy also enjoyed bowling, shopping, Pollyanna, rook, and spoons but most importantly, being with her family was what she treasured most.
Peggy was preceded in death by her parents, Terry Oscar Prim and Mattie Jester Prim; and two granddaughters, Kayla Nicole Bragg in 2015 and Paige Leann Rice Frazier in 2026. She is survived by her husband of 68 years, Herman Lee Duggins; children, Tammy Evans (Joe), Tim Duggins (Kris), Penny Rice (Joel), and Sam Duggins (Lisa); grandchildren, Mandy Broadway (JB), Chad Duggins (Brandi), Evan Duggins (Emily), Justin Frazier, Jenna Rice (Joe Claffee), and Samantha Colegrave (Jeremy); eleven great grandchildren, two great great grandchildren, and numerous special nieces and nephews that held special places in her heart. Peggy had a deep love for her family and cared for them with all her heart. As her loving husband said, “She was not one of the best, she was the Best!”
A funeral service will be held at 11:00am on Tuesday, August 18, 2026, at Freedom Baptist Church, 1000 Rural Hall-Germanton Rd., Rural Hall, NC 27045 with Pastor Jon White officiating. Interment will follow at Crestview Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 6:00pm until 8:00pm on Monday at the church.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be made to Trellis Supportive Care, 101 Hospice Ln., Winston-Salem, NC 27103.
