Peggy Combs

Mrs. Peggy Ann Ziglar Combs, 89, passed away Thursday, June 28, 2018, at Village Care of King with Sandy and Kim by her side. She was born to Ida Frye Ziglar and Tom W. Ziglar on March 17, 1929 in Forsyth County, NC. Mrs. Combs was a member of Bethany Baptist Church. She most enjoyed cooking and caring for her family. Mrs. Combs will be greatly missed. She was preceded in death by her parents; her step-mother, Cora Ziglar; husband, Harold Combs; eight siblings: Paul, James, Walter, and Sam Ziglar, Rachel Haas, Ruby Cox, Linda West, and Carolyn Echols. Mrs. Combs is survived by her son, Sandy Combs and daughter-in-law, Kim; her greatest joys, two grandchildren, Sarah Rickman (Will) and Will Combs (Cally); four great-grandchildren: Colton, Arlee Ann, and Abigail Rickman, and Virginia Combs; two sisters, Catherine Bennett and Shirley Redmon; also, numerous nieces and nephews. A funeral service will be conducted 2:00 p.m. Sunday, July 1, 2018, at Bethany Baptist Church with the Rev. Brian Alverson officiating. The family will receive friends at the church immediately following the service. A committal service will be conducted 10:00 a.m. Monday, July 2, at Crestview Memorial Park.
