Peggy Jones Eaton

COLFAX – Ms. Peggy Jones Eaton, 84, passed away peacefully on May 24, 2024, at River Landing at Sandy Ridge in Colfax, NC. She was born on November 10, 1939, to Clarence Jones and Mildred Parrish Jones in Kernersville, NC. Peggy loved to sing and play the piano for her friends and family. When she wasn’t entertaining, she enjoyed tending to her plants and rose bushes, watching the Game Show Network, cooking, reading, and solving crossword puzzles. Peggy was heavily involved with her church and loved the Lord with all her heart. Her grandchildren and grand dogs always gave her great joy and she loved them very much. She was also an avid fan of the Andy Griffith Show, Everybody Loves Raymond, and Wheel of Fortune.

She is survived by her son, Douglas Moore of Centennial, CO; her daughter, Cheryl Woodward of Conway, SC; her grandchildren, Jacqueline Hayes (Tanner), Joseph Bucaro, Ryan Moore (Kayla), Anthony Bucaro (Brittany), Victoria Bucaro (Cory), Juliana Moore, and Kailani Moore; and ten great grandchildren, Maura, T.J., Lylliana, Brayden, Liberty, Braxton, Baylor, Gianna, Dominic, and Lucia.

Peggy is preceded in death by her parents; her stepmom, Ann Huff Jones; her dear Aunt Zora Jones; her brother, Kenneth Parrish, and her sister, Diane Jones.

A funeral service will be held June 4, 2024, at 1:00pm at Hayworth-Miller Kernersville Chapel. Burial will follow at Pisgah United Methodist Church Cemetery. The family will be receiving friends from 11:00am to 12:45pm prior to the service at the funeral home.
