Peggy Stafford Holder

KERNERSVILLE – Mrs. Peggy Stafford Holder, 94, passed away Wednesday, April 24, 2024 at Trinity Glen Nursing and Rehab. Peggy was born on February 20, 1930 in Forsyth County to Oscar and Myrtle Phipps Stafford. She was a longtime member at Sedge Garden United Methodist Church, where she was involved in the United Methodist Women and the Walker Sunday School Class. Peggy was always present with her smile and support of her church and church family. She retired from East Forsyth High School with over 20 years of service, working in Administration in many capacities. Peggy enjoyed gardening, sewing, and cooking, especially sharing her many tasty cakes with others. She loved camping and traveling and was an avid Atlanta Braves fan.

Surviving are two children, Tommy Holder (Sheila) and Deb Neal (Steve); two grandchildren, Brooke Johnson (Sam), and Courtney Pigg (Thomas); three great grandchildren, Bramley and Braylen Johnson, and Emma Holder-Gibson;  extended family, Tabitha, Jake, Maddy, Harper, and Luke Gibson; and many nieces and nephews. 

A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, April 28, 2024 at Sedge Garden United Methodist Church with Pastor Dan Hester officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends following the service in the church Fellowship Hall.
