Peggy Phillips Armsworthy

           Mrs. Peggy Phillips Armsworthy, 89, of Advance, NC passed away Friday, June 12, 2026 at her home. She was born August 5, 1936 in Forsyth County, NC to Burnice Ray Phillips and Helen Allen Phillips. Peggy was a member of Smith Grove Church in Mocksville. She worked at Hanes Hosiery and later retired from the Davie County School System. 
            She was preceded in death by her husband in 2009, William “Bill” Armsworthy. Surviving are her three children, Daphne Frye (Wayne), Mary Tolar and William Ray Armsworthy; four grandchildren, Heather Leach, Ben Frye (Lorie), Darbe’ Tolar and Brandon Armsworthy and four great grandchildren, Emma Leach, Charlie Frye, David Leach and Stella Frye.
             A funeral service will be held at 11:00 Wednesday, June 17, 2026 at Hayworth-Miller Kinderton Chapel with Rev. Chris Clontz and Mr. Tim Dunn officiating. Interment will follow in Smith Grove Church in Mocksville. The family will receive friends one hour before the service at the funeral home.
