Peggy Greene Rhodes

Mrs. Peggy Greene Rhodes 73, passed away Sunday, January 5, 2014 at Forsyth Medical Center. She was born November 17, 1940 in Montgomery County to Jesse Leonard Greene and Grace Harris Greene. Mrs. Rhodes was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother and was loved by her family very much. She is survived by her husband of 49 years, Jack Wesley Rhodes; a son, Darrell Wayne Rhodes; a daughter, Karen (Roger) Rhodes Taylor; three grandchildren, Justin Reece Smith, Austin Wesley Rhodes, and Ava Maria Rhodes; seven brothers and sisters, Joyce (Jimmy) Freeman, Bobby (Carolyn) Greene, Linda (Jimmy) Wilson, Elizabeth (Lee) Hendrix, Edward ""Buck"" (Lila) Greene, Barrett Vaughn Greene, and John David (Teresa) Greene. A memorial service will be conducted at 2:00PM on Friday, January 10, 2014 at Hayworth-Miller Rural Hall Chapel with Rev. Gary Byrum officiating. The family will receive friends following the service at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Senior Services Inc., 2895 Shorefair Dr. NW, Winston-Salem, NC 27105.
