Peggy Joyce Hackney Rigsbee

KERNERSVILLE - Peggy Joyce Rigsbee, 80, passed away Monday, November 25, 2013 at Wake Forest Baptist Health. She was born February 11, 1933 in Durham Co. to the late Ernest and Sannie Robbins Hackney. Peggy was a member of Bunker Hill United Methodist Church and the women's circle #2. She retired from Bowman Gray School of Medicine after many years of service. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her sister, Doris Hooper and five brothers. Surviving are her husband, James Cole Rigsbee, Sr. of the home; two daughters, Kim Boone and Kelly Mattocks both of Kernersville; two sons, Jonathan Rigsbee and James ""Jim"" Rigsbee both of Colfax; twelve grandchildren, and seven great-grandchildren. A Funeral Service will be conducted at 2:00 Wednesday, November 27, 2013 at Bunker Hill United Methodist Church with the Rev. David Rorie officiating. Burial will follow in Bunker Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 12:30-1:45 p.m. at the church prior to the service.
