Peggy Jean Wood Watson

Kernersville - Mrs. Peggy Jean Wood Watson, 81, passed away Friday, October 18, 2013 at Kate B. Reynolds Hospice and Pallitive Care Center. She was born January 12, 1932 to the late Kenny Howard and Essie Poindexter Wood. Peggy was a loving wife, mother Granny, and Great Granny. She was a past member of the Morning Glory Garden Club, she loved flowers and animals of all kinds. Peggy had the gift of optimism reguardless of her circumstances. She was preceded in death by a son; James Timothy Watson, and a brother; Dicky Wood. Surviving are; her loving husband of 63 years, Claude Allen Watson, a daughter Claudia Carter and husband Ricky of Kernersville, two grandchildren; Travis Carter and wife Jyl, Stacey Caton and husband Patrick, all of Kernersville, three Great grand children; Landon and Austin Caton, and Hunter Berciunas, one sister; Linda Henley one brother; Danny Wood, and numerous nieces and nephews. A Graveside Service will be conducted 11:00 AM Monday, October 21, 2013 in Mt. Gur Cemetery with Chaplain Ann Dalton officiating. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Kate B. Reynolds Hospice and Palliative Care Center at 101 Hospice Lane Winston Salem, NC 27103. A special thank you to the staff of Kate B.
